DJ NICO is noted as one of Calgary’s most versatile DJ’s. Over the course of 23 years he has performed at over 5000 events, and has made waves with Calgary’s top event planners and talent agencies. He has become highly sought after to provide musical entertainment for many of Calgary’s high profile corporate and social events

Italian Choir

The Calgary Crescendo Choir

The Calgary Crescendo Choir held its first performance on May 22,1997. In November 2000, the choir was incorporated as The Calgary Crescendo Choir Society becoming the only Italian language choir in Alberta. This year marks the Choir’s 25th Anniversary.

The Calgary Italian Dancers “Gli Azzurri” was established in 1987. We are proud to have showcased our culture at various performances around Calgary, Canada and abroad.

Amy Hef

Born and raised in Saskatchewan and having lived in Los Angeles and Fort McMurray, Amy Hef now calls Calgary home, alongside her wife and Pomeranian, which she says are loved equally. The youngest of five children, Amy was raised in within a deeply religious family, and as an adult had to look inward to become empowered, though she is now recognized as one of the few out-and-proud queer musicians in the province. 

Wandering Accordion Player

Greg Rumpel

Greg Rumpel began playing the accordion as a youth in Regina, Saskatchewan.  For the last 30 years he has been performing accordion music in Calgary as a soloist and also as a member of many groups.  He has played in many bands covering varied styles of music such as Italian, German, French, klezmer, old style country, mariachi, etc.  For “Taste of Italy”, Greg can be heard playing familiar Italian melodies such as That’s Amore, Funiculi Funicula, Santa Lucia, etc.
